![]() 超愈15年排舞專業教授經驗,極具心得,每班皆安排合適而有系統的課程,因材施教。不同程度及年齡的學生,皆可在輕鬆的學習環境下得到老師的悉心指導, 認識各種不同舞步動作及技巧,增添自信。暨屬下團隊學生共愈2,000人,並不斷遞增中,可謂桃李滿城,於眾傑出的學生中,個別資深者續勝任為導師, 同心同力在各社區推廣排舞。 Winnie在加拿大安省亦為楊家太極拳班任教12年多,其太極拳師承關國強師傅,她將舞蹈與太極拳融匯一身,活學活用。基於教學相長的原理,現隨多位名 師鑽研各類舞蹈,故學員可學到除步法外的舞蹈技巧,彼此精益求精。 Winnie於2004年開始嘗試編撰排舞。“YMCA”是她的首次之作,大獲好評,並以著名之作Summer Wine於芝加哥排舞大賽The Windy City Line Dance Mania,Chicago,2004中嬴取了第三名。成為安省首位獲獎華裔排舞編撰家。 Winnie所編排舞: 2 Butterflies, Banca Cha Cha, Little Waltz, Mice Love Big Rice,Timeless, CuCu, Disco Remix, Kung Fu Fighting ‘07…部份為慈善機構籌款而編撰,廣受學生們及排舞界推祟,於舞會備受歡迎,恆常不變。近期作品:Sealed With A Kiss& Unbreak My Heart 亦登流行榜,歡迎於本網 “Winnie’s Dance” 下載。 Winnie熱心公益,曾為頤康護老院、耆暉會、協群社區服務中心,華諮處等義務教授及義演籌款,並於2001年(國際義工年)四月獲安大略省頒義工銀 獎;及獲安省移民部部長科爾先生頒發2005傑出義工嘉許獎。由於經常支持各類大、小型慈善活動,故被譽為『慈善舞后』。 2001-2003年,她與學生們為孟嘗長期護理中心義務拍攝電視宣傳廣告短片。更定期為該院舉辦籌款舞會。 於2004年底憑個人排舞DVDs示範專輯為南亞海嘯筹得$10,000正捐予紅十字會脹災之用。 2005年起委派資深學生導師為耆暉會開辦排舞班,由4班增至19班,班別由初班至中高班,學生人數不斷遞增,推廣排舞之餘亦公益社區,為該基金會增添善 款。 2006年再憑她個人排舞示範教材專輯(第五至十二集)籌得$30,000捐予華諮處「移民資源中心」基建用途,除每年舉行慈善生日舞會,善款皆撥捐華諮 處基金外,更定期為該會舉辦籌款舞會“週末排舞夜”學生們既可練習排舞又兼行善公益。全套 (1-12)排舞DVDs示範専輯更被本地主流社會圖書館選為借閱項目;為此獲華諮處董事局委任為榮譽會員。 2007年6月10日Winnie領導團隊各老師首創在加拿大馬拉松排舞活動的人數(800人)、時間(8小時)、籌得善款($16000)等驕人紀錄, 受惠機構:孟嘗會。 2007年11月24日Winnie以個人名義首辦慈善排舞工作坊,出席各界舞友及學生等300餘人,並以其太極師傅關國強伉儷名義認捐$10,000捐予「加拿大福慧基金」 資助中國貧童助學金。 2007年中起將課堂、舞會、表演…教學示範片斷上載於YouTube內,方便大家瀏覽。 並將不斷製作更多排舞片斷以供學生課後溫習及各界舞友參閱。 2008年3月獲『世界華人工商婦女管協會』頒發華鳳獎。 2008年6月率領團隊各導師及成員再辦名符其實的「慈善馬拉松排舞活動」,再次創 出加拿大史無前例的驕人紀錄(刷新2007年度亦由本團隊所創紀錄:800人八小時善款 $16,000)。 最大場地:由三個運動場(合共22,000呎)組合而成的特大舞池; 最多人數:900人 最長時間:參加者跳足9小時 最多善款:$18,000 於此九小時慈善馬拉松排舞活動中,同時為加拿大紅十字會即場為「四川地震」賑災 筹款,於舞會中20分鐘內筹到$10,000,再創排舞畀津津樂道的最快筹款紀錄,並於十 月榮獲加拿大紅十字會頒發感謝狀。 截至2008年底,Winnie及團隊為耆暉會合辦結業、聖誕、新年及午間排舞樂等舞 會善款達$25,000。 Winnie由九年前開始以排舞融入各項慈善筹款活動,迄今累積善款總額超越二十萬元,『慈善舞后』實至名 歸。 Winnie不吝嗇將最新排舞作品教學示範上載YouTube內,2007年至今,已達778片。 除方便學生們溫習外,亦成為本地及世界名各地舞友的指引,訂閱戶超愈1,300,好評 如潮。享譽全球排舞界,專人每日回覆各地電郵。 2007-2008編撰排舞:Tong Hua (aka Fairytale), Little Merengue, Monica, Cha Cha For You, Funky Boogalu, Butterfly, Little Christmas Waltz.等,均受學生及舞友歡迎,除流行於本地外,亦深受學生及舞友推崇。 2009年慈善活動為各慈善機構筹募善款,慧澤社群 : 1月18日「愛心齊賀壽,共舞迎金牛」Winnie 生日舞會,為華諮處筹得善款$10,000 1月及2月初第一屆余瑞心排舞導師訓練/文憑課程班為耆暉會筹得善款$15,000 4月耆暉會提名,獲安省頒發榮譽十年義工獎 6月發行 YouTube DVD 珍藏版為孟嘗會筹得善款$17,500 8月遠赴緬省温尼泊城為温城中華文化中心筹款(連捐贈 DVD 100 套義賣) 10月為孟嘗舉辦「坐座排舞」課程,與義工導師為長者帶來歡樂 2010年慈善活動包括 : 1月17日為華諮處舉辦余瑞心生日慈善排舞夜「醒獅賀壽滙吉祥」,筹得善款$10,000 2月義演善款救「海地」,為紅十字會筹款$13,672 3月為耆暉會「Young at Heart」Charity Gala 表演節目之一,筹得善款$10,000 4月華諮處提名,獲安省頒發榮譽十年義工獎 9月獲邀參加多市大型舞蹈活動「楓情舞滙」表演嘉賓之一 12月聖誕慈善舞會為 Jo Thompson的醫療基金筹得善款$2,300 2011年慈善活動包括 : 2月舉辦余瑞心慈善生日舞會再為美國知名排舞編撰家 Jo Thompson 的醫療基金筹得善款$3,600 2月獲萬錦市政的邀請為「賀龍滙」農曆年賀歲節目的表演嘉賓 4月孟嘗會提名,獲得安省頒發榮譽十年義工獎 5月為安省心臟及中風基金表演嘉賓及筹得善款$10,000 9月為「孟嘗愛心顯溫情」 電視籌款夜接聽電話義工服務 2012年慈善活動包括 : 1月再為萬錦市農曆年賀歲節目「賀龍滙」的表演嘉賓 2月為加拿大糖尿病協會舉辦余瑞心領尖推廣排舞十五週年慈善舞會,筹得善款$5,000 5月再次被安省心臟及中風基金會邀請,於五月廿六日(星期六)希爾頓酒店年度籌款慈善晚會為大會表演嘉賓, 再次成功籌得善款CDN$11,000.00 12月被多華會邀請為籌款慈善晚會表演嘉賓及任當晚青年大使評判 2013年慈善活動包括 : 1月20日(星期日) 是本人正日的生辰,並慶祝於2009年成立的『加拿大華人排舞協會』五週年誌慶,當晚於世紀酒樓舉行慈善飧舞会,成功籌得善款CDN$5,000.00捐 贈予耆暉会一站式服務中心建設用途 5月為心臟及中風基金會周年籌欵晚會『幻彩絲路之旅』表演示範及帶領 嘉賓起舞。此活動籌得善欵加幣$160,000元正 7月26日為奧比斯【眼科飛機】舉辦《舞出光明夜》慈善籌欵舞會,為此編撰"Merengue For Your Eyes" 表演‧共籌得善欵加幣$5,000元正 10月再為奧比斯「電视籌欵之夜」担任義工 2014年慈善活動包括 : 2014 年1月19日(星期日) 於世紀酒樓為本人慶生慈善飧舞会,共籌善欵$5,000悉數捐贈予耆暉会一站式服務中心建設用途 3月獲耆暉會提名榮獲安省盼發十五年義工獎 5月為推廣雷安娜讓愛滋孤兒站起來慈善演唱會編撰二只排舞;"Anna's Old Dream" 及 " Anna's Tears" 此項活動籌得加幣$110,000元正 6月獲康福心理健康基金會;於萬錦市希爾頓酒店舉辦周年籌欵晚宴『希望綻放』中帶領嘉賓集跳排舞;為此編撰三只簡易 排舞:A Tiny Cha Cha, Baby CuCu 及 A Tiny Waltz, 即場與各舞者分享 7月5日(星期六) 獲 105 Gibson 社區中心邀請参予慈善籌欵活動: ~ The Open Market " Dance For A Legend" 十二小時舞動全城;特為大會編撰了主題舞 "Pass It On" 10月再為奧比斯眼科飛機醫院廠「電視電話籌款之夜」擔任義工 2015年慈善活動包括 : 3月7日為YMCA年度馬拉松籌款活動,籌得善款$4,000元 3月28日為耆暉會年度慈善籌款晚會,編撰及訓練會董表演節目 5月6日為耆暉會母親節籌款晚會,作表演及籌款項目 5月31日與雅麗獅子會及YMCA合辦「女性健康活力展」仼活動推廣大使,並舉辦午間排舞活動,籌得$6,000元 10月再為奧比斯眼科飛機醫院「電視電話籌款之夜」擔任義工 最後,Winnie在此感謝她的團隊 成員,好友及學生們的保貴意見及支持。 ![]() |
![]() Winnie has more than 12 years of professional line dancing teaching experience; she has accumulated much insight and experience, ready to be shared with all dancers. Winnie organizes her dancing lessons in a systematic and unique fashion, and she adjusts teaching pace and methods suitable to each individual student learning needs. Hence, students of different ages and levels can learn line dancing in a comfortable environment, with full attention from our instructors. Students are first introduced to basic dancing steps of different kinds of dance; these serve as an important foundation for developing line dancing skills and movements. There are over 2,000 students under the guidance of our team of instructors, and the number is increasing. Experienced and talented individuals have been selected from our students to be further trained as instructors, promoting line dancing in different communities. Winnie has been a Tai Chi instructor for more than 12 years in the Ontario. She learned from the renowned Tai Chi Master Kwan Kwok Keung. Winnie has been the first to integrate Tai Chi steps into the application of line dance movements. Winnie has been diligently improving her expertise in line dancing; she consistently attends advanced dancing workshops from famous dancers around and out of town, searching for leading edge dancing skills and trends. Her students can take the added advantage of her up-to-date knowledge of the most recent and hit dances from different line dancing interest groups. Winnie began her line dancing choreography career in 2004. YMCA was her first masterpiece which led to an initial success and received tremendous support and recognition from various line dancing interest groups. Winnie’s other piece, Summer Wine placed third at the Windy City Line Dance Mania in Chicago in 2004. Also, she was the first award-winning Chinese line dance choreographer of Ontario. Winnie has choreographed numerous pieces: 2 Butterflies, Banca Cha Cha, Little Waltz, Mice Love Big Rice, Timeless, CuCu, Disco Remix and Kung Fu Fighting. She choreographed some of the above pieces for raising funds for charity organizations. After that, her piece became popular amongst her students and line dancing interest groups worldwide as she sought after dances at parties and workshops. Her most recent pieces include Sealed With A Kiss and Unbreak My Heart which have been put in the list of popularity for some time. She has voluntarily delivered free dancing lessons and participated in many event performances for Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation, Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association, S.E.A.S. Centre, Fu Hui (Canada) Foundation for poor children education in China, and Centre for Information and Community Services for the last 10 years. In April 2001, the Year of International Volunteers, Winnie was awarded the Silver Medal by the Province of Ontario in recognition of her continuous contributions of volunteer services to our communities. In addition, Winnie was also awarded a Certificate of Recognition in the year 2005 from the former Minister of Immigration and Human Resources of the Province of Ontario. Winnie supports different kinds of charity events and activities in our communities, she has been named the “Charity Line Dance Queen” by our dancing communities. In 2001-2003, Winnie and her students had voluntarily participated in the production of a TV commercial for Mon Sheong Long Term Care Centre, promoting the services delivered by Mon Sheong to the public. Winnie also organizes charity parties raising money for this organization on a regular basis. In December 2004, Winnie collected a total of CAD10,000 from distributing her own line dancing instructional DVDs collection. All proceeds were donated to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund to help with the South East Asia disaster. In 2005, Winnie has assigned some of her trained instructors to teach line dancing in Carefirst classes. No of classes have been increased from 4 to 19, levels from elementary to advanced. Winnie has been consistently promoting line dancing activities and raising charitable funds for Carefirst Foundation. In 2006, Winnie raised CAD30,000 in charitable funds for C.I.C.S. Immigrant Resources Centre by distributing her line dancing instructional DVD sets (Chapter 5 to 12). Every year she organizes charity birthday parties; part of the proceeds will be donated to C.I.C.S. Foundation. In addition, she organizes Saturday Night Line Dance Fun line dance parties on a regular basis, and all funds have been raised to establish the Immigrant Resources Centre. Students receive excellent opportunities to practice line dances while also raising money. The whole set of educational DVDs (1-12) have been used by local mainstream libraries as reference resources for community users borrowing. Thus Winnie has been appointed an Honorable Member by the Board of Directors of C.I.C.S. On June 10, 2007, Winnie led her team of instructors to break a record in a line dancing event in Canada - The Marathon of Line Dancing. The records broken were the number of participants that have attended (800), the total hours of dancing (8), and the funds raised (CAD16,000) at this line dance marathon. The beneficiary organization was Mon Sheong Foundation. On November 24, 2007, Winnie personally organized a charitable line dancing workshop. More than 300 students and line dance enthusiasts participated. CAD10,000 has been donated to Fu Hui (Canada) Foundation in the name of Mr. & Mrs. Kwan Kwok Keung for the support of educational funds for poor children in China. In 2007, Winnie has begun uploading video clips featuring activities in classes, parties, and performance events to YouTube. Also included are instructional video clips for easy reference and reviewing. Winnie will continue to upload new line dancing video clips for students after class practices and for reference. In March 2008, Winnie was presented with the Chinese Phoenix Award by the Global Federation of the Chinese Business Women in recognition of her continuous contributions in promoting line dancing activities in our community. In June 2008, Winnie led her team instructors and students to participate in the 2008 Charity Line Dancing Marathon Party. This party broke several records kept by Dancepooh team from the same theme party held in 2007. (In 2007, 800 participants danced for 8 hours, and a total of CAD16,000 was raised). New records for 2008 are as follows: Biggest venue: dancing floor made up of 3 gyms. (total floor space 22,000 sq. ft.) Dancers attended: 900 Dancing duration: 9 hours Funds raised: CAD18,000 During this 9 hour Marathon, Winnie Yu also briskly appealed for on-the-spot cash donations from participants to help May Sichuan earthquake victims via Canadian Red Cross. A total of CAD10,000 was collected within 20 minutes. Another overwhelming new record was made by Pooh Team, thanks to the participants’ quick response to Winnie appeal for donations. Team spirits have sustained generosity and civic responsibility shown in charitable galas and parties organized by Winnie throughout the year. An appreciation plaque was awarded by the Canadian Red Cross to Winnie Yu in October for raising earthquake relief funds. Winnie organizes large-scale Annual charity year-end graduation, Christmas, New Year and luncheon line dancing parties for Carefirst, besides numerous fund raising charity activities through out the year. She has donated a total of CAD25,000 from these party proceeds as of the end of 2008. In the past nine years since her innovative idea of charity came into being, Winnie has raised more than $200,000 from her line dancing fund raising galas, parties and countless functions, all which have contributed to various charitable organizations in our communities. She deserves, indeed, the prestigious calling of “Charity Line Dance Queen”. Winnie also shares her newest line dancing instructional video clips on YouTube with a variety of audiences. She has uploaded a total of 778 line dancing video clips since 2007. Students have found these video clips very useful and handy for reviewing dances learned in classes for self-paced practice. Line dancing enthusiasts and over 1,300 YouTube subscribers, from local and worldwide also use these clips as a guide to keep up with the trend. She has team members designated to email correspondence with line dancing groups worldwide daily.
